Last Gaze

’twas our hearts met
rays of city lights
but only we noticed
lights from distant stars.

dazzling came to my arms,
binds the warmth of love
‘ til you leaned on my shoulder
speaking beacons of hope
to a lover, soon be lost.

we’ ve felt deep
to where it leads,
future holds up high
uttered promises —
you never said you knew
‘ twas the stars would fall.

i’ ll be back,
i promised to the star
but only the stars knew
i’ll watch the moon,
you’ll watch the sun
we never knew —
’twas the last gaze then.

Growth

all gives a gift
some may bring finest thing
it is the one’s pleasing for—
sets tones with good rhythm
and lasting harmony.

in some nights
isn’t always that Santa’s spirit
gonna point out distinctions
with those vast of dimensions,
sort of horrible you think.

whispers from dark roads,
a sack of clanging alloys—

a gift you wouldn’t wish
yet light comes and serves first
’til it flogs the flesh of propensity
down to scourge the inner will.

hence overtime you’ll see
those bamboo shoots
grows from its longevity,
and now the wisdom whispers.

Drowning

by Buhisan, Anna Marie L.

She’s drowning of sadness, anxiety and depression
Don’t even know the difference of the three
All she know is that she’s drowning in this river of torment
Oh God, please don’t abandon her

Everything scratches her body, heart, mind, and soul
She gets weaker and weaker, day by day
She’s nothing without You, please Lord help her
She becomes dangerous to herself and to everyone

The crisis of time had learned her the tragedy of solitude
Learned from the danger side of silence
Learned to keep the sword out from beloved ones
She drains, oh she drains!

Confuse if this is a curse or karma
Knowing she deserves to suffer
But oh Lord not in this kind of pain
All that sucks outward from dust to mosquito bites
Till bites of pride, obsession and resentment

Clara

by Buhisan, Anna Marie L.

I see a soul that views the world same as me
Unto the same lense of spirituality
Either dicerns the virtue of purity
Ever the depths of that modesty

We met on the same page of circumstance
Been troubled by an exploiter
We ain’t gave a damn;
Not a hoe nor fool, but a women of respect

I could look up the grace of Him
I see as precious of carnation blooms
That once cherish for its light red pigments
Yes, it’s her brilliance of ingenuity

She’s bold and independent
She’s smart and innovative
I see her as my angel
I see her as my soulmate

Art Speaks Itself

by Buhisan, Anna Marie L.

Lines, soft edges, brushes and canvas
Poured every inch of slaughtered truth
The vivid pallette used to vivid scene
It’s not as hidden unless it’s forbidden

But oh! if it forbids to tell,
A different language nailed
The language of an artist
Everyone could see, if not it’s jailed

In every stroke,
In every smudge
Conveys  cruelty,
Conveys brutality

The layer’s panel hides and unhides
That every ruler’s wish to take
The transparency layer locked or unlocked
That every ruler’s that have the blame

A power to dominate
A persuasion to manipulate
A capability to make dolls
A tragedy that makes everyone dull

They mean a power of owning
Owning news media companies,
Then they call it privilege?
And yes it is

They mean a power of controlling
Controlling economic profit
Controlling society’s perception
On instilled released production

As seen as movie
Listened in radio broadcast
Read in in any media’s post
Followed as society’s standard

Heard the people’s cries
Sought the people’s agonies
Mourned the people’s sorrows
After all people weren’t blind

Intuition speaks
Truth proves it
But only few stand
Most were eaten

Who dares to tell the truth
When it’s a fight for now and death
When it bites career and family
When it strikes our joy and peace

But how long could people pretend?
And be suffocated by power’s control
May it be this case,
The art speaks itself

Thy Shimmer Love

by Buhisan, Anna Marie L.

Winds swaying, flowers blooming
All around me is clear
But there’s a light
Before splendid things struck my eyes

From the beginning that you bore me,
There’s a light that I always feel when we’re together
An aroma of your kisses and hugs
A tenderly care of yours that can never be compared to gold

Thy love shining into my life
Is my learnings and guidance
Into the virtuous actions
That makes you glow

The inheritance of life
The way who I am today
My achievements in life
Comes from your loving hand

Myself want to give you a bouquet of orchids
As a sign of a regal thank you
Trying to reflect my loving treasures from you
That I want to express in my heart

Fate

by Buhisan, Anna Marie L.

Pure love and innocent souls
Saccharine moments of its essence
With the coming of open doors
The love we assume bless by heaven

When the time doomed by traits
Annoyance and oppositions takes
Hell of pride and cold shoulder
Triggered traumas gets broader

Don’t know if love was pure
When leaving is way to cure
A plan that hurts to know
Was it love of flesh or soul?

Spring from complexity
‘Twas hard discernment
From the blast of anxiety
Form bucklers of torment

Friends in Love

by Buhisan, Anna Marie L.

I came up on the hardest explanation in my life
In which I couldn’t find its definition on the books
Where I find the key on the moments,
Moments that makes a difference

It all starts to love –
Friendships in loving experiences
Would even teach me in things
In every mood that glows

Friends that give joy in sadness –
Winning in the price of comfortness
Shining in the midst of humor
Fighting in the whisper of pain

Though sometimes moments blurred
Things even say the last greeting
But the walls on our picture will never be fading
I just take a glance on changes, saying “hi” to the pain, strongly welcome the tomorrow, and keep the pictures of yesterday

Haiku Style

by Buhisan, Anna Marie L.

Do nut stand for people who only respect power and wealth.

Butterfly shimmer,

Without shining diamond –

It’s a heart’s treasure

The nobility of an individual is not measured by his social standing. It is determined by a person’s view of life and their desire to live it to the fullest, pulled by their passion and faith along it. It’s about what he believes would bring him fulfillment, the happiness he acquires on what he stands to believe in through living it.
Hence, not everyone has principles, not everyone knows what they really want in life, and not everyone values the preciousness of life. Not everybody has been taught the virtues of living a moral life. These leads people having propensity to be influenced by the media’s expectations on what is being aired in different media platforms; which has been instilled in their minds, and that  they believe these societal norms would fill them. It’s tragic how social media often influence people’s perceptions by the aesthetic and lavish posts from rich folks. Down to society’s ideals of a perfect female body image, a perfect high-paying job, an ideal socioeconomic status of property, an ideal skin tone – prejudice, an ideal facial features and etc. It’s when people desired something that’ll boost their pride, the need for attention that they might be able to acquire through power, fame, and money, among other things.  It’s ironic how these people want to be loved and feel the need to love in the first place. Many of us wrongly perceive love that is something to be obtained by an ego boost, something we could get our pride for; when in no doubt love is the key to our existence that formulates our good principles in living it.
Where man invests his understanding,
patience, kindness, compassion, self-sacrifice, and all other means of   loving a person, animal, environment and etc. Though pride is rooted in a man’s nature, it is not a guarantee that he will obsess over it, that will only make him miserable of its consequence. Only a man knows how to live humbly when he is content to follow his principles for the greater good. Importantly, the secret to living a life through good values and principles will make a greater sense. It’s a treasure no one could get from him.

Peace

by Buhisan, Anna Marie L.

Songs and cheers of life is our time of happiness

Inconvenient events may bring us sadness

Lot of those moments may happened but there’s always silence

Entrusting into our hearts with this silence, can lead our life prominence

Nuisance to self may disappear with that moment

Can be like a petals of dandelion swaying with the wind’s embracement

Essence of truth from peace that will always be our encouragement

Shoes

by Buhisan, Anna Marie L.

Oh! How shall I walk in an extreme road
That is full of chains on the way
Whenever I passed by, it was air
Going into the other state of stage

Into the step of the sand,
The vissage of my prints
Covers the whole me
Oh! how I fight valorously into the chains that binds my shoes on the path

Whenever I fall into the hole,
I can still see the brightness of tomorrow
And it makes me better than a precious diamond
That shines into the darkness of path

Until the days of my journey,
Last for an hour only
Where I reach the shining star
And that’s how life beautiful

Colors in Our Life

by Buhisan, Anna Marie L.

Red, Blue, Yellow, Green
Glows as the sunlight clean
That gives light to everyone
And gives joy to someone

Colors in our life
That always makes us alive
Bring color to our surrounding
And bring brightness to everything

Green, Red, Blue, Yellow
Giving us always bright glow
That can be seen in marshmallow
That is tasteful if we will chew and swallow

Yellow, Green, Red, Blue
Special and true
That provide shade and hue
That always give me clue

Behold Thy Friendship

by Buhisan, Anna Marie L.

Prescience unto the moment
Behold thy friends in fascination
Will be the self enlightenment
With the share of adoration

Well, some may be not or some may be free
Thoughtful counsel in words may flee
Book of wisdom, sometimes open or close
Not even wonder will they go

Friends of love-
Glitters in unity
Blooms in humor
That will always be in jovial treat

The deeper meaning
In mystic treasures
They’re our friends
Which they come and go
